'En la profundidad de la bruma' marks Hernandez’s third solo exhibition with STATION and continues her poignant exploration of memory and identity. As a Venezuelan woman living in Australia, Nadia reflects on the experience of bearing witness to the loss of home, intertwining personal history with broader cultural narratives. Drawing from a December 1985 issue of a local Venezuelan newspaper, Hernández revisits an interview with her great-grandfather, Juan de la Cruz Devies, a truck driver whose life was forever altered by an evening encounter whilst driving. The artist delves into the non-linear nature of this transformative event, using it as a lens to reflect on her own artistic journey and the intersection of memory and history.
