STATION is delighted to be participating in Frieze Seoul 2025 with a dual presentation of works by Del Kathryn Barton and Tomislav Nikolic.

Nikolic’s geometric abstract paintings explore the capacity of colour to elicit an emotive response. The artist references art history and personal anecdotes, distilled into rich colour fields rendered in hundreds of paint layers that appear both opaque and transparent. Similarly, Barton’s practice is self-referential, exploring notions of femininity, folklore & the cosmos. Her hyper-detailed paintings combine traditional painting techniques with contemporary design principles to create a cacophony of imagery. Both artists convey the spirit and potency of painting through widely different technical approaches to line, colour and composition.

Frieze Seoul will take place at COEX Convention and Exhibition Centre, Seoul from 3 - 6 September 2025.
