Marian Tubbs will be presenting new works at the
SculptureCenter in New York City early next year as part of their 'In Practice' program. A program that offers emerging artists curatorial and financial support to create new work for exhibition at SculptureCenter. The resulting exhibition from this program, titled
Material Deviance, looks at artistic practices that explore irregularities, glitches, gaps, residues, and altered states - either found or enacted - as a means of accessing the latent histories of materials in order to expose underlying systems of power, regulation, value, and control.
Opening on 29 January, the exhibition runs until 27 March 2017
