Jon Cattapan has been awarded the
2016 Rockhampton Art Gallery’s $50,000 Gold Award, for his 2015 work
Raft City No. 4 (surveillance version). The Gold Award honours the memory of Moya Gold, philanthropist and educator, who inspired and provided for this prize directly through a substantial bequest for the acquisition of Australian paintings.
