ENTANGLEMENTS
Henry Curchod, Ponch Hawkes, James Nguyen, Mike Parr, Marie Shannon, Judy Watson
21 March – 24 April 2026
STATION | MELBOURNE
STATION is delighted to present a group exhibition of works by Henry Curchod, Ponch Hawkes, James Nguyen, Mike Parr, Marie Shannon, Judy Watson.
Entanglements is a group exhibition that muses on our reciprocal relationship with the world around us. Through painting, photography, printmaking, sculpture, and video, exhibiting artists map interactivities between inner and outer worlds, articulating the ways in which we shape and are shaped by the contexts we inhabit. Subjects, present or implied, are found situated between private and public spaces, making visual the recollections of subjectivity and subjection that shape identity. Departing from the formative entanglement of mother and child, Entanglements charts wide-ranging relationships to family, place, cultural practices, histories, and personal cognition, questioning what it means to carry a uniquely coded experience through shifting sociopolitical conditions and into orbit with other individuals and ecosystems.
